Rebecca Dawkins
I trained as a teacher of Religious Studies in the late 90’s but I have always enjoyed painting, drawing and photography. I did not have the time to indulge these interests whilst I was a full time teacher and have only recently begun to explore them in greater depth. In fact I have just
completed a Foundation Diploma at Northampton University. I am very interested in abstract
expressionism and enjoy the creative freedom of abstraction. I like to explore the potential of colour and texture on canvas and many of my paintings use a wide colour palette which give each painting their unique character and feelsome joyful and exuberant, some more pensive and dark. How the painting is interpreted is completely in your hands as the viewer. I also produce photographs based on details of my paintings.
