Choosing the Right Frames for your Art - evening workshop for artists and art lovers
Starts 7pm,  8th Sept 2021 at Vitreus Art, near Towcester

Following on from last year's sold out workshop, here's another opportunity to discover
some of the secrets to choosing the best frames and mounts for yourt artwork.

Hosted by experienced framer and artist Michael Prendergrast, this workshop is a must for all artists
who need to frame their work - for sale, for an exhibition, or fior pleasure.

The session will be interactive, and will include a little history of framing, a review of traditional and
modern styles and many insights from Michael's long career in framing and antique restoration.

SNA Members pay £10.

Non-members pay £15.

Social Media for Artists - Two interactive evening workshops to help artists promote their work on Social Media

Workshop One: Social Media for Beginners - 29th July 2021 at Vitreus Art, near Towcester

This workshop for Social Media beginners will help you:

  • To understand the benefits of social media and why you should be using it

  • To learn how to set up social media profile for success

  • To understand how to use Facebook and Instagram

  • To learn how to use the platforms to promote your work

  • To understand the importance of engagement

  • To understand how to create a content plan

  • To gain a basic understanding of using social media insights

  • Free (and cheap!) tools you can leverage to make your life easier


Workshop Two: Growing your Social Media presence - 26th August 2021 at Vitreus Art, near Towcester - now fully booked


This workshop for artists already using Social Media will help you:

  • To understand how to optimise your profiles to appeal to your target audience and make it clear what you’re all about

  • To learn how to find out who your audience is using social media insights

  • To gain a deeper understanding of how to use the platforms to promote your work

  • To understand why creating a voice and personal brand on social media is so important

  • To understand the importance of engagement

  • To understand how to create a content plan

  • To understand the difference between curation and creation

  • Why a blog can add value to your online presence

  • Free (and cheap!) tools you can leverage to make your life easier

Some aspects of the workshop will be interactive and involve audience participation and hands on work.
Attendees will be required to bring a laptop or smartphone device they can access their social media profiles on.
As basic preparation, all attendees will be asked to set up at least one Instagram and/or Facebook page for their work,
if they don’t have them already.

All attendees will get a ‘Social Media Cheat Sheet’ with actions they can carry out in their own time.

SNA Artists already using Social Media for their artistic activities may either or both sessions;

Social Media beginners are recommended to attend the first session in preference to the second.
