Louise Russell

Louise Russell Millinery

Having completed an Art Foundation at Nene College, Northampton, Louise went on to graduate from Nottingham Trent University with a B.A. (Hons) in fashion and knitwear.

She worked in the fashion industry for three companies based in the U.K. and the U.S.A.  In the U.K. her main job was as an embellishment designer travelling to India and Hong Kong supervising designs there on a regular basis.

Her love of detail, beading, embroidery and colour led her towards a career in millinery, subsequently training with the late Queen Mother’s milliner, Rose Cory. This was followed by her working for milliner, Judy Bentinck in London.

Louise is currently based in Northamptonshire and designs a Spring/Summer and an Autumn/Winter Collection whilst specialising in bespoke hats for weddings, Royal Ascot, The Derby, The Cheltenham Festival and “any other occasion that gives you an excuse to wear a hat”.
