Colin is primarily a landscape painter in a variety of media with a bias towards traditional oil painting, and frequently works "en plein air”, both locally and further afield.
For many years he organised the local annual art show and taught a local art group.
A Full Member of the Northampton Town & County Art Society, Colin is also a member of the Northampton based Network Arts Group and the Rugby & District Art Society.
He has work in private collections in the UK, USA, Sweden, Spain and Germany.
Colin provided the illustrations for a book on Wainwrights 'Pennine Journey' - edited by David Pitt, with maps by Ron Scholes, published by Francis Lincoln June 2010 and featured in 'Inside out - Cumbria & the North West' - by BBC TV. Now available by the same team is a similar volume on the Howgills Fells published by Lincoln Press in 2013.
