Nan Chilton
I started out originally as a watercolourist delighting in the way the paint mixes and merges on the paper creating fantastic effects that are unpredictable as well as exciting and when this all comes together wow!
I now find myself concentrating mainly on traditional oil painting an entirely different approach and result, but equally challenging especially en plein air which I love.
I also paint in acrylic and mixed media painting landscapes, still life, people, pets and anything that I find inspiring or believe has a beauty waiting to be released.
I am a member of the Rugby and District Art society, Network Arts Northampton and Napton Art group, regularly exhibiting widely.
I am inspired by our local countryside and holiday destinations loving the challenges of painting en plein air the changing light and weather conditions all add to producing a fresh lively work that captures a snapshot and memory of time spent.
