I am Jo Cross and I am a fused glass, PMC and freeform beading artist.
My background starts at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, where I worked as a theatrical costumier for 20 years.
I started ‘Joolry’ as a hobby and then quickly came to love the art of bead weaving, especially free form beading. I have also recently moved into the art of fusing glass and working with Precious Metal Clay (PMC) to make unique jewellery pieces.
I have been commissioned to create one-off pieces for weddings and special events where people need that certain unique something to finish the look. I also make many pieces for sale at the various art events and online that I now take part in.
‘Doodle Crafts’ is a re-kindling of my love of fabrics and sewing where I enjoy designing and making many different hand finished patchwork quilts using my extensive sewing skills.
